On Nov. 13th "Friends of Europe" will hold their Summit on Africa
"Ascending Africa: Opportunities and challenges†in Brussels.
In the invitation to the conference it says:
"Africa is in the global spotlight: with its booming economies, soaring commodity exports and new investment opportunities, Africa is attracting the attention of business leaders from across the world."
I wrote this letter to the organizers:
Dear Friends of Europe,
I am appalled by your 'hallelujah' on African 'booming economies' and 'soaring commodity exports'.
Don't you know that the main beneficiaries of these blessings are corrupt upper classes and warmongers? And that the ordinary African people benefit the least from these huge revenues? Your statement is a slap in the face for millions of poor Africans.
