Mali : Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta a été arrêté par des militaires

Le président malien a été arrêté par des militaires, ce mardi en fin de journée à Bamako, quelques heures après le début d’une mutinerie au camp de Kati.

Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta se trouvait dans sa résidence de Sebenikoro, à Bamako, lorsqu’il a été arrêté par des militaires mutins, vers 16h30, heure locale. Il était alors en compagnie du Premier ministre, Boubou Cissé, et de son fils, le député Karim Keïta.

José Filomeno dos Santos: Son of Angola's ex-leader jailed for five years

The son of Angola's former president has been jailed for five years for fraud from when he was head of the oil-rich country's Sovereign Wealth Fund.

José Filomeno dos Santos, 42, was accused of trying to embezzle up to $1.5bn (£1.1bn) while overseeing the $5bn fund from 2013 to 2018.

He was charged with stealing $500m from the fund and transferring it to a bank account in Switzerland.

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — An outcry is rising in Somalia as parliament considers a bill that would allow child marriage once a girl’s sexual organs mature and would allow forced marriage as long as the family gives their consent.

The bill is a dramatic reworking of years of efforts by civil society to bring forward a proposed law to give more protections to women and girls in one of the world’s most conservative countries.
