Sudan fighting: RSF and army clash in Khartoum for third day

Fierce clashes have been reported across Sudan as fighting between rival armed factions continues to spread.

Violence between the army and a paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continued overnight into its third day.

Nearly 100 people have been killed, a doctors' union said, and one estimate put the number of injured at 1,100.

Dozens killed in Nigeria amid clashes between herders and farmers

Gunmen have attacked a rural village in northern central Nigeria, killing dozens of people, local government officials said on Friday.

The attack happened on Wednesday in Umogidi community in Benue State, where tit-for-tat clashes are common between nomadic herders and settled farmers competing for land and resources.

Burkina Faso expels two French journalists

Burkina Faso has expelled two French journalists working for newspapers Le Monde and Liberation, the two publications said on Sunday, accusing the authorities of seeking to stifle freedom of speech with an escalating crackdown on foreign media.

Liberation said its correspondent Agnes Faivre and Le Monde's Sophie Douce arrived in Paris early on Sunday after they were summoned separately for questioning by the military authorities on Friday and later notified of their expulsion.

Derzeit verschuldet sich China so schnell wie nie zuvor, um die eigene Wirtwschaft anzukurbeln.

Grave robbers took body parts of a deceased albino man in western Mozambique after digging through concrete that was used to reinforce the grave.

Police say the suspects are still at large after the incident in Moatize district, in Tete province.

The deceased, who was about 50 years old, was recently buried in a village that borders Malawi.
